Emotional intelligence in the effective resolution of conflicts in transport companies in Tricimotos of the canton La Maná

Abstract

This analysis addresses a crucial problem in tricycle transportation companies in the canton of La Mana: the absence of an effective solution to conflicts at work, which adversely affects productivity and the work environment. The main purpose of this study is to establish how emotional intelligence affects the effective resolution of conflicts in this area. The method used is quantitative in orientation with a non-experimental descriptive design of 209 partners from four tricycle companies. Statistical instruments such as Cronbach’s Alpha were used to verify the data collection methods and factor analysis to assess the aspects of emotional intelligence. Among the most relevant findings, it stands out that the dimensions of self-awareness and self-regulation are crucial to reduce long-term conflicts. In addition, it was detected that employees with more emotional capacities managed to manage conflicts more effectively, promoting a collaborative work environment and more efficient customer service.
