Abstract

Conversational agents are programs designed to communicate with users through text or voice messages, which seek to result in a natural conversation. The study aims to improve the process of attention and information to private higher education students, offer quick, personalized and available answers at all times. For this, a bibliographic review was made, and a prototype was created on the voiceflow platform, based on a design clearly focused on the needs of our main users. Tests were carried out where the TAM matrix was applied to evaluate the perceived usefulness and ease of use with 150 university students. The results showed that the chatbot delivers clear, fast and personalized information about the academic offer, admission requirements and institutional processes, which significantly improves the user experience. In addition, they help with task automation and reduce the workload in repetitive activities. The positive opinion provided by the student’s shows that technology is well received in the educational field. It is concluded that conversational agents can improve institutional communication, assist in course decisions and become an important tool for digital higher education.
