Vol. 1 No. 3 (2022): Revista U-Mores

We are pleased to present issue number 1, volume 3 of the U-Mores Journal. This publication presents 05 articles, proposals based on the need for scientific publications with a strong humanistic vision and rigorous empirical evidence.

In this edition, an excerpt of the work carried out in this publication is presented:

The first article refers to the generation of preliminary scales of the semantic Verbal Fluency Test. This neurocognitive assessment instrument is used globally to evaluate core competencies in linguistic performance, as well as to consider qualitative aspects of executive functioning.

Interpersonal Reactivity Index: first approach to psychometric properties in the Ecuadorian population is the name of the second article, whose main objective is to analyze the psychometric properties of the IRI (Interpersonal Reactivity Index) in the current Ecuadorian context. To this end, a sample of 382 adult subjects between 18 and 68 years of age, of both sexes, residing in the cities of Quito, Guayaquil, Ambato, San Lorenzo, Santa Rosa and Pasaje was used.

The third and fifth papers are based on the applicability of the D2 test to an Ecuadorian population group with ages ranging between 18 and 79 years, in order to know their attentional competences in front of the presented test. Preliminary normative values in selective attention performance, sustained attention, information processing speed and task efficiency are evaluated.

Improvement of the integral wellbeing of a group of older adults through the implementation of the "My Golden Years" program is the name of the fourth study. The comparative results obtained pre and post intervention showed significant changes with respect to the index for the domain "physical health" in older adults who participated in the "golden years" club program (p=0.000), applied to the Quality of Life index whoqol - bref.

Considering the relevance of continuing research and generating knowledge, the scientific community is invited to postulate their manuscripts in our journal, to publish their research results, for which it is requested to review the requirements of form in our official site that go in correspondence with the lines approved by the Israel Technological University, publisher of our journal.
