The fourth way and the global fourth way. A systematic review

Abstract

There is scarce literature and a few studies about The Fourth Way and The Fourth Global Way from the authors Andy Hargreaves and Dennis Shirley due to the fact that this philosophical educational proposal is not considered in many countries around the globe. Hence, this systematic revision has as main objective to analyze articles about The Fourth Way and The Fourth Global Way in specialized literature. Consequently, during the research process for this revision 16 articles were found from different investigation databases, which present the process of change for the enforcement of  The Fourth Way and the pathway for The Fourth Global Way in  different educational models in Asia, Europe and North America, characterized by educational success.

The present study has a qualitative approach to analyze the articles collected with enough information to support the research objectives. Finally, the conclusion of the research from the analysis done was that all 16 articles revised showed a favorable point of view to the proposal, considering it to be the one searching for the excellence of educational systems not only for students but also for teachers and each member of the educational community.
