Abstract

This proposal is the result of the analysis of the reality of Ecuador in terms of psychometric tests, showing that most of them do not present scales appropriate for the Ecuadorian population.

On the other hand, scoring the evaluations with scales that are not contextualized to the country, give values that are not completely real, and this, in turn, gives a report that is not specific to the function evaluated. This process is not coherent with the requirements and norms established for taking a psychometric test and therefore generates marked difficulties in the execution of the test and the results obtained.

One of the most known and used tests in the psychological area, specifically in neuropsychology, is the D2 attention test, which measures different essential elements and key components involved in attention, and as part of the analysis, it does not have contextualized data or structured scales for the Ecuadorian population. Therefore, the following study seeks to obtain preliminary normative data for the D2 attention test in Ecuador.
