In these times, the existing correlation between tourism and health is expanding; this convergence stems from the growing need to promote physical and psychological well-being; and development opportunity. Current research seeks to conduct a systematic review, deepened with a scientometric analysis, of articles indexed in the Scopus database, opting for the period between 2019 and 2023 focused on the existing relationship between tourism and health. Based on a descriptive qualitative approach, the search for keywords in English, Portuguese, and Spanish was chosen in order to holistically cover the topic. The research participation of China, the United States of America, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Australia stands out with 1747 articles and 28038 citations in total. Sustainability Switzerland journal with 182 published articles; and Social Sciences as the thematic area with the highest representation, 1390 articles. It is concluded that academic literature focused on tourism and health presents segmentations regarding research networks by nations, keywords, journals, and thematic areas. It is also recognized the urgent need for adaptability to address new trends focused on sustainability, technology, and innovation.
